Cooling equipment is used in food processing in a large variety of applications.
Different sizes of equipment and temperature
ranges become available on the market.
Up-to-date production methods for this equipment warrant that high quality products can
be offered at competitive prices. Before the equipment is released from the factory for
shipment to the customer a final 24 hour test is performed.
In these tests the temperature
has to be measured on different spots inside the cooling equipment. Some of the tests
require up to 8 to 10 sensors. The sensor values have to be stored and monitored for 24 hours.
Wisensys was chosen for these measurements because of the ease of installation. The wireless system allows placement of the digital temperature sensors inside the cooling equipment without using wires.
The use of 868 MHz radio frequency allows for placement in cooling equipment which is fully closed. Although the range for transmitting the radio signal is limited to a certain extent, the advantage of using a wireless system remains.
