Intuitive and effective re-scaling
This is the natural way of re-scaling axes. Just click and pull and
they will extend like rubber bands. Try it by placing the pointer on
one of the axes, click and drag and "feel" the exactness
of your movement.

anchorage point
Normally the origin point is fixed. Hold down 'Shift' to keep
the endpoint fixed.
Hold down 'Ctrl' to move the axis longitudinally without
re-scaling.
